An effective whitening system should deliver fast results and along with this it must be absolutely safe and convenient to use. This is the way how Beyond - Polus works. The procedure is carried out in one visit with application of whitening gel on the teeth and its activation by light from the accelerator. The active agent from the whitening gel is hydrogen peroxide. The other ingredients are added in order to optimize the effect of the procedure and reduce sensitivity. In the presence of light, emitted by the robot Beyond Polus / by the accelerator / the active ingredients of the whitening gel passes more quickly through the enamel. Light promotes the bleaching process, because it speeds up the decomposition of hydrogen peroxidemolecules into free radicals. The latter oxidise the stains, which are included in the tooth structure.
The reaction, which occurs during the procedure is safe for the patient's health and teeth. The effect is visible at the moment - brilliant white teeth. The whole procedure takes about 45min., and the effect of bleaching lasts on average 2-3 years.
At-home bleaching
Another method that Beauty Smile Dental Clinic offers is a home whitening procedure. The system we use is Opalescence.
From the dental arches of the patient impressions are taken for precise individual bleaching trays. The precise fit of the trays is one of the main factors determining the effect of this whitening method. The instructed patient himself puts whitening gel in the trays and wears them for 1-2 hours a day or during the whole night. This procedure lasts 14-15 days. The effect occurs more slowly, because the used gel is in a lower concentration of bleaching agent.
According to Dr. Billy Dorfman / leading dentist at "American Makeover" / best results are obtained when the two methods (in office and at home) are combined. This is achieved in the way that after the chairside bleaching the patient continues with home bleaching for further 15 days with a home system. Combining this two methods of bleaching makes the effect really striking.
